The Rosa Z is one of Louboutin's cleaner evening sandals: curved patent straps cross the vamp and meet a slingback, set on a slim 100mm stiletto. There is almost no hardware, just the line of the strap and the open toe.

The straps should be evenly cut and cleanly stitched where they meet the sole, and any buckle or logo hardware is crisply engraved and solid. Thin, uneven straps or light, roughly finished hardware are a warning sign.

The patent should read as a deep, even gloss with no cloudiness or crazing. Look for clean stitching, a smoothly finished footbed, and straps anchored firmly to the sole. Glue at the edges or a footbed that peels is a warning sign.
