The Sandaloo

Christian Louboutin Sandaloo

The Sandaloo sets a wide open-toe band and a slim ankle strap on a squared 130mm block heel with a 15mm platform. The block heel and platform make it steadier than a stiletto sandal of the same height, and the plain leather bands keep it modern.

Cut open and strappy, it leans to warm weather and evenings out over all-day wear. It fits true to size for most people. Because we check every pair by hand, a clean pre-owned example is a confident way into the model.

Wearing it

On a sandal it is the straps and the footbed that take the wear, so we look there first.

Does the Sandaloo run true to size?

The Sandaloo fits true to size for most people. On an open style, check that your toes sit just inside the front and your heel does not spill over the back; the straps give a little adjustment. If you are between sizes, we would size down rather than up.

Authentication

How do you spot a fake Sandaloo?

We authenticate every pair in house. These are the details our team checks first on any Sandaloo that comes through us. For the full method, read our guide to authenticating Louboutins.

01

The red sole

Louboutin's red is a specific shade (Pantone 18-1663, Rouge Louboutin). On a worn pair it fades and scuffs at the tread first. A sole that reads orange or pinkish, or paint sitting on top of the leather rather than in it, is a warning sign.

02

The sole stamp

The red sole is engraved with Christian Louboutin and the size, set across the arch. On a genuine pair the lettering is crisp, evenly pressed and correctly placed. Shallow, uneven or badly spaced engraving, or a stamp that looks printed on rather than pressed in, is a common tell on a fake.

03

The insole stamp

Christian Louboutin and Made in Italy are stamped cleanly into the insole with the size. The lettering is even and precisely spaced. Smudged, shallow, or misaligned stamping is one of the most common tells on a fake.

04

The straps and hardware

The straps should be evenly cut and cleanly stitched where they meet the sole, and any buckle or logo hardware is crisply engraved and solid. Thin, uneven straps or light, roughly finished hardware are a warning sign.

05

Construction

Look for clean stitching, a smoothly finished footbed, and straps anchored firmly to the sole. Glue at the edges or a footbed that peels is a warning sign.

06

Box and dust bag

Original packaging is a supporting signal, never proof on its own. We authenticate on the shoe itself, and a genuine box and dust bag with the correct labelling add confidence.

Questions

Sandaloo, answered

Does the Sandaloo run true to size?
Broadly yes. The Sandaloo fits true to size for most people; size up half a size if you are between sizes or wider-footed.
How high is the Sandaloo?
130mm, about 5.1 inches.
Is the Sandaloo comfortable?
As an open style there is no toe box to break in and the straps hold the foot; on the 130mm heel it is an evening sandal, easy for its height.
What is the difference between the Sandaloo and the Fanny Sandal?
The main difference is height: the Sandaloo is 130mm and the Fanny Sandal is 120mm. Both are red-soled Louboutins, so it comes down to the silhouette and how much heel you want.
Can you authenticate a pre-owned Sandaloo?
Yes. We authenticate every pair in house, and we also offer a free check on any Louboutins you already own. Send us a few photos and our team will take a look.
How much is a pre-owned Sandaloo?
It retails around £970 new at Christian Louboutin. Pre-owned pairs are typically well below that; we source authenticated pairs to your budget.
